The Copper Country Intermediate School District (ISD) Career and Technical Education (CTE) Construction Technology program students and staff have designed and built a beautiful sauna, and now it’s your chance to own a piece of their hard work. This is the second sauna auctioned this year, with one purchased in winter.

After weeks of analysis, CAD design, and construction, the CTE Construction students have built a stunning sauna from the ground up. We are now inviting YOU to own this student-built masterpiece through a silent auction. 🛠️💫

Sauna Auction Details:

- Auction Type: Silent auction.

- End Date: Bidding concludes at noon on Friday, May 24, 2024.

- Move Date: The sauna must be moved by the end of the day on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the winning bidder's expense and arrangements. (Note: CTE can help identify potential movers).

- Minimum Bid: $9,500.

- Building Exterior Size: 8 ft x 14 ft x approximately 10 ft high (approximately 7 ft interior ceiling height).

- Steam Room Exterior Size: 8 ft x 8 ft.

- Change Room Exterior Size: 6 ft x 8 ft.

- Construction:

- 2x4 insulated wall construction.

- 2x6 insulated ceiling construction.

- 2x6 treated and sloped floor system.

- Exterior:

- Black asphalt architectural roofing.

- Black LP Smartside board and batten siding.

- Interior:

- Cedar paneling and cedar sauna bench for a truly authentic experience.

- Electrical:

- All 12 gauge wiring to accept 20A owner-supplied electrical service.

- Underbench switched GFI outlet for owner-supplied LED rope lighting.

- Interior GFI outlets in change room and one exterior covered GFI outlet.

- Interior change room light and exterior light.

- Included: Duravent triple-wall stainless steel through-roof chimney.

- Not Included:

- Stove (winning bidder must supply/install at own expense).

- Floor drain (winning bidder must supply/install at own expense).

- The floor is currently treated plywood; winning bidder typically has the floor epoxied by a professional contractor once the sauna is in its final location (winning bidder must supply/install at own expense).

Viewing Location: See this masterpiece on display near the Career Tech Center (across from the LaCantina Restaurant) in downtown Hancock. The interior is available to view between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. weekdays.

Buyer Responsibility: Please be aware that the buyer is responsible for all costs, insurance, and compliance with laws/regulations related to the transportation of the building.
