Student Leadership Advisory Council of the Keweenaw (SLACK)
The Student Leadership Advisory Council of the Keweenaw, or SLACK, is a group for young people who want to make a difference in the Keweenaw area. Organized by the CCISD and supported by the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation, it and brings together students from Houghton, Keweenaw, and Baraga Counties.
SLACK's main goal is to help students become leaders by getting involved in their communities. Students meet monthly to plan ways to help out, raise money for good causes, and tackle problems that affect young people in the area.
SLACK supports students by giving them a voice and the tools they need to make positive changes around them. SLACK connects communities and builds a better future through student empowerment in volunteering, leading projects, or helping others
